Attorney Cydnee Brown was born in Goldsboro, NC., and was raised from the age of four in Bronx, N.Y. and Brooklyn, N.Y. interchangeably.
Cydnee left NY after enlisting in the United States Air Force. While at the rank of E-1 and continuing through E-4, she worked on the flightline in the engine shop. Upon achieving the rank of E-5, she was named the NCOIC of Plans, Scheduling and Documentation, where she oversaw the operations of a fleet of F-15 fighter aircraft assigned to Tyndall Air Force Base’s First Aircraft Maintenance Unit. Upon departing from her military career, Cydnee was honorably discharged from the Air Force after dedicating nine years of active duty service to her country.
Returning to civilian life, Cydnee attended the University of West Florida in Pensacola, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English Education. After graduating, she taught high school English for one year in Pensacola, and with her sights set on FSU, she relocated to Tallahassee. Cydnee taught high school English for two years in Leon County before she was accepted into the FSU College of Law. She graduated in an accelerated 2 ½ years and moved on to the next phase of her life with a distinguished Juris Doctorate under her belt. Her admittance to the Florida Bar soon followed.
Almost immediately upon graduating from FSU Law, Cydnee was hired as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit and worked in Leon County and later Gadsden and Liberty Counties. Four years later, she went into private practice and, remaining in Tallahassee, opened Cydnee Brown Attorney at Law, LLC. Her areas of practice are criminal defense, family law, dependency and guardianship/probate law.
Cydnee Brown is the mother of twins, Kristopher Williams and Kristyen (Williams) Washington; the mother-in-love of Tallahassee native, Cleveland Washington, and the doting grandmother of eight; Alladin, Javae, Thomas, Joaquin, Kennedy Elijah, Regginae, Kristopher and Kaidance.
